Above: On the eve of the centenary of our nation’s greatest battle, I submit to you a photo of me, perched in a state of quiet awe on the steps of the great Vimy monument. As I looked out over the crater strewn battlefield I was cloaked in an intense but wordless national pride. My band-mate John Mann once sang, “Funny how it’s here where I feel it…”
